Day73(26/July/2019) 浜田―萩(Hamada-Hagi)

まずおまけ写真を２つ。昨晩、宿から見えたイカ釣り船の灯り（ピント外れ）と今朝の日の出（少々ピント外れ）です。さあ、今日も一日頑張ろう！ 仕事だ！仕事だ！
７４０出発。2７度。薄曇り。気温は昨日より高いが、そんなに暑く感じない。出発してすぐに坂を越えると、目の前に強大な工場らしきものが。後から調べると、中国電力の三隅発電所だった。突然現れると荘厳な感じだ。
今日も海沿いの道はアップダウンの連続。なかなか大変だったが、海と小さい島々が大変美しい。海水浴場もいくつかあったが、水がとてもきれいだ。人も少なくて気持ちよさそう。
この旅に水着持参で来ているのだけれど、まだ泳いでいないなーー。自転車こいで、海に入って塩水でドロドロになって、また着替えて自転車なんてトライアスロンじゃないんだから、やれないなーー。
と思ってこいでいたら、またまた「なんじゃこりゃー」の標識。「オケ峠 標高３９ｍ」。３９ｍで峠か？ またカタカナの「オケ」とは何ぞや？ローマ字を見てこれは「才ヶ（さえが）」だと分かった。
連想したのが「平均点よりだいぶ悪い３９点しか取れていない小学5年生坊主が、力強く“やった！39点取れたぞ！”」と叫んでいる図。
そして、やって来ました「おいでませ山口」へ。この「おいでませ山口」というコピーは1970年代の観光キャンペーンで使われ始め脈々と続き、私も骨髄反射で思い出している。コピーの威力は大したもんだ！
萩に入り、幕末に鉄を作ろうとした「反射炉」があった。日本に残っているのはここと、韮山の反射炉（鉄腕Dashで鉄を作ろうとしていた）だけ。ここのは、完成には至らず試作の「反射炉」だったらしい。
萩といえば、吉田松陰。松下村塾を訪れたが、以前にも書いたが原田伊織の「明治維新という過ち」を読んでから、吉田松陰はテロリストとしか思えなくなった私がいます。萩でが口が裂けても言えないでしょうが。。その解説はここです。http://news.kodansha.co.jp/20170923_b01

Firstly, 2 complimentary photos. One is the lighting of squid fishing boats last night. The other is sunrise of this morning. Both are a little out of focus, though.
740 departure. 27C. It was a little cloudy. Thanks to this, I didn’t feel hot compared with yesterday. Just after the departure, I encountered a huge plant in front of me. This was a power plant of Chugoku Electric Power Co. It was very impressive for me.
Today’s road was also along with the coast. There were a lot of up-down slopes. Thanks to the weather, I didn’t feel tiredness so much. The sceneries of coast were so beautiful. The seawater was also very clean. There were not so much people on the beach. I wanted to enjoy the beautiful beach. But, considering the preparation and tidy-up, I didn’t feel doing this.
Just before entering Hagi coty, I found the strange signboard “Saega Pass Altitude 36m”. Only 36m pass?? What was this?
In Hagi city, I visited the place of Reverberatory Furnace. Only 2 these kinds of furnaces exist in Japan, here and Izu Nirayama.
In Hagi, there are a lot of famous historical people during Meiji Restoration 150years ago. The most famous person was Shoin Yoshida who operated the private school. Many students of this school also contributed the development of Japan in Meiji era.
