Day75(28/July/2019) 長門―下関(Nagato-ShimonoSeki)

涼しいうちに峠越えしようと７００出発。気温25度。昨日より2時間早いだけあって涼しい。きっかり1時間登り、峠に到着。山の西側を登ったので東からの太陽を遮ってくれて助かった。下り始めると、安徳天皇西市（にしいち）御陵墓があった。
安徳天皇とは、1185年の源平の壇ノ浦の戦いの際に、わずか6歳で平氏一門とともに入水したかわいそうな天皇だ。なぜここにお墓があるのか？ 山口県の観光案内では参考地とある。しかし、右の立て札は「宮内庁」のものだ。「宮内庁」と書かれれるとがぜん信ぴょう性が増すな～～。
と思う間もなく下関へ。下関といえば関門海峡と関門橋。1973年開通。1068ｍでその当時は東洋一の最長の橋であったとの事。昔はこの東洋一という言葉がよくつかわれたな。。。この歩道からの写真は徒歩か自転車じゃないと撮れません。関門海峡～～夏景色～～～♪♪
と、ふと看板を見ると「壇ノ浦」の表示。もちろん「壇ノ浦」は知っているが、丁度関門橋の下あたりだったとは！ 今まで生きて来て不覚だった！
そして長州藩が列強（イギリス、フランス、アメリカ、オランダ）に対して1863年大砲をぶっぱなした下関戦争の大砲のレプリカが置かれていた。それまで尊皇攘夷だった長州は、自分たちの実力を知り、江戸幕府には任せておけないと倒幕へ傾いていきました。
またこの真下からの写真は車では絶対無理！ 下関に来たら自転車に乗るか、歩きましょう。
関門橋を越えてさらに進むと、右手に竜宮城のような建物が。赤間神宮といい、ここは先ほどの安徳天皇を祀っている神宮です。
すると、空が一転にわかにかき曇り、大粒の雨が降り出した。避難避難と一番最寄りの屋根付きの駐輪場へ。たまたま同時に避難してきたオジサン（私より若いけど！）と話が弾み、雨も止みそうもないので1時間弱お茶する。大阪から輪行（自転車を電車で運び目的地で乗る）してこちらに来ていた前川氏。この人もバイクで日本一周したことがあるらしい。会話も弾んだ。雨を避難した駐輪場は、この唐戸市場のものだった。フグのセリで有名だとか。

ということで本州の西の端、下関まで来ました。本州に入って28日目。走行距離が1925ｋｍ。奇しくも北海道も28日走り、走行距離が2135ｋｍだったので、北海道がいかに広かったか！
To cross the pass in the cool morning, I left at 700am. Temp;25C. It was much cooler than yesterday. I rode the bike just for an hour and crossed the pass. Since the road was on the west side of mountains, I could escape from strong morning sunlight. After I crossed the pass, I found the tomb of Antoku Emperor of 12th Century. He was died during Banno-Ura war between Genji-family and Heishi-family which was very a famous war for Japanese.
After that, I arrived ShimonoSeki City. There is a very famous bridge, Kanmon Bridge between Honshu Island and Kyushu Island built in 1973. At that time, this bridge was the longest in Japan. I put one more photo right under the bridge.
There were exhibitions of replicas of cannon which were used for ShimonoSeki war in 1863. This war was between local government and European countries. The local government was defeated, and they realized their abilities and capabilities.
I also found the colorful shrine of Akama Shirine. This was for Antoku Emperor whom I just mentioned above. After that, suddenly the heavy rain started, and I escaped to the place which had a roof. By chance, one person also came with the bicycle. He was also a cyclist from Osaka. We talked about our trips during the rain at the famous fish market.

Today I completed the Honshuu Island for 28days.The total mileage was 1925km. By chance, it also took 28days in Hokkaido, and it was 2135km. How Hokkaido was big!
