Day35(18/June/2019) 紋別-枝幸

早朝、外を見ると光がさしている。今日は久しぶりに晴れるぞと期待したが、出発７３５amの時点では曇り。気温12度。そんなに寒くはない、出発して30分くらいのところにある流氷岬では、まだどんより曇っている。風はない。

今日は、紋別を出て興部（おこっぺ）、雄武（おうむ）、枝幸（えさし）と移動してきが、それぞれオホーツク海に面していながら内陸部に広がり、産業も漁業と酪農であり似たような町だ。枝幸は毛蟹収穫量日本一らしい。北海道の市町村はどこも広い。興部/面積363ｋｍ2、雄武/637ｋｍ2、枝幸/1116km2。ちなみに私が住んでいる川崎市/144ｋｍ２、ついでに横浜市でさえ/437ｋｍ２。しかしこちらの人口は少ない。それぞれ、3800人/4500人/8200人ほどだ。今回、いたるところで小学校、中学校が廃校になっている横を通って来た。ある人口推計によると、2040年には日本の人口５千人未満の自治体のうち３０％が北海道に集中するらしい。https://ameblo.jp/star-tp/entry-11987608716.html　５千人で広大な土地で生活し管理していくことは容易な事ではないだろう。これが世の流れとは言え悲しくなってしまう。

朝方どんより曇っていた天気も、１２時過ぎから明るくなった。しかし晴れるにつれ、吹いてなかった風がどんどん強くなってきた。昨日の70％くらいの風だ！枝幸に到着する前のオホーツクの海はきれいだった。

In the early morning, I could see the sunshine. I expected that today would be better day. At 735am, I started the journey. Temp:12C. It was not so cold but cloudy. After 30min ride, I arrived the cape of “Ice Sea”. Today I passed 3 towns, Okoppe, Oumu and Esashi. Those 3 towns characters are very similar. They have large lands with small populations. Their industries are fishing and dairy. But the depopulation is taking place everywhere in Hokkaido. During this trip I saw many closed elementary & junior high schools although the school buildings’ conditions were not bad. I felt very sad.

At the entrance of Esashi, Okhotsk Sea was beautiful under the sunshine.
