Day 18(1/June/2019) 晴れ 八戸―六ヶ所村―むつ

朝早く目が覚めたので、640am出発。気温17度。昨日雨が降ったせいか、涼しくて空気もきれいだ。海岸沿いの道も松林が連なり大変気持ちがいい。しかし、それも六ヶ所村に入る所までだった。一転にわかにかき曇り雨が降り出した。幸いにも30分雨宿りして再出発。かなり道路は濡れていた。

六ヶ所村の高原をはーはー言いながら走っていると、突然おびただしい数の風力発電機。ここは年間を通じて風が強く、現在９２基が稼働しているとの事。

昼飯食ったレストランの横に「ホタテ観音」なるものがあった。ここ北上郡横浜町は、陸奥湾でのホタテの養殖が盛んで、きれいなこの海がいつまでも続くよう願いを込めて造られたらしい。写真には観音様、陸奥湾と釜臥山が見える。

Hachinoh city – Rokkasho village – Mutsu city

I woke up earlier today and left inn at 640am. Temp:17C. It is cool and fresh.

On the way, I passed the very pleasant road along with pine trees. My bicycle could move very smoothly. Such a comfortable ride was up to Rokkasho village. After I entered in the village, the sky was becoming darker and the it started to rain. I waited to stop raining under the roof of small hatch for 30min. After rain, it became humid.

I encountered a lot of wind-power generators in front of me. Since this village always has strong winds, there are 92pcs of this kind of generator.

Beside the restaurant where I had a lunch, there was a statue of princess of scallop. The industry of this area is an aquaculture of scallop. I also had a lunch of Scallop-Sashimi. The picture showed the statue, Mutsu-bay and Mt. Kamafuku. Arrived Mutsu city at 1500pm. Today’s mileage:111km, Tunnel passed:0.
