Day52(5/July/2019) 秋田－酒田

今日は若干長丁場になるので早めの出発７１０。気温22度。道の駅ごとに休憩しながら着実に進む。由利本荘市を通っている時、大変潔い大きな看板を見つけた。全国的に本屋が少なくなっている昨今、これこそ本屋の鏡。頑張ってほしい。

昼ぐらいに象潟に到着。象潟（きさかた）と言えば、芭蕉が奥の細道で詠んだ「象潟や雨に西施（せいし）がねぶの花」が有名。この辺りを通るのだったら、象潟の光景を是非見たいと思っていた。芭蕉が来た頃は、松島のように沢山の島々が浮かんで見事な光景だったらしいが、1804年の地震で地面が隆起して田んぼの中の小高い丘々になってしまった。この句を詠んだ蚶満寺（かんまんじ）には芭蕉の像が立っていた。

象潟町自体が、国の天然記念物です。

晴れが続き、１６００時酒田に到着。明日は酒田をいろいろ見る予定。

Since today’s trip must be a little long, I left a bit earlier at 710am. Temp:22C. I went ahead with rest at each “Michi no Eki(Road Station)”. When I entered Yuri Honjo city, I found the interesting sign board at the top of the building. It just said “Book”. I hoped that this book shop would survive in the future.

Aound noon time, I arrived Kisakata town. This place is very famous thanks to a Haiku poem by Matsuo Basho in Edo period. At that time, we could see a lot of islands in the sea. It was beautiful. Now we can see a lot of hills in paddy field due to rising land. There was a statue of Basho in Kanmanji temple.
