Day56(9/July/2019) 新潟―燕三条―刈羽

昨日の夜から雨が降りそうで心配していたが曇り。気温22度。７５０発。

1時間半くらい走ると、田舎の人は良く知っている（各町村に一店舗はある）、都会の人はあまり知らない農業関連重視のホームセンター、コメリの大きな建物群。コメリの広――い水田もある。もしかして、ここが本社？　すぐスマホで調べると確かにここが本社！　コメリちゃんよ、君はここ出身だったのか！！

新潟に来たら是非行きたかったのが職人の街、燕市。包丁、ハサミ、研磨などの工場見学できないかなーーと何日も前からネットで調べていたが事前に予約が必要だったり、見学の時間が設定されていたりして結局調整できず。ただし、新幹線の駅の燕三条駅に「Wing」という職人技を紹介する施設があり、また駅の近くに「道の駅地場産センター」というのもあり、職人の技に触れられるのではないかと思い来てみた。

爪切り、スプーンが大好き！という人や、研磨が命！という人達にとってここはたまらない場所だろうな。

燕三条駅に着く前に、高速ICの表示があり「三条燕」。駅は「燕三条」。

なんで統一しないの？と思い、宿に着いていろいろ調べていたら、燕市と三条市の歴史が見えてきた。おもしろい！

ここで2時間ほど過ごした後、今日の宿へ。途中の田舎道で「良寛の里」の表示が。時間があるので行って見る。この集落は良寛さんが晩年の5年間を過ごした終焉の地だった。美術館があり、お客が少ないせいか（私を入れて3人）館長自ら説明役をかってくれて30分程案内してもらった。良寛の生き方は「清貧と慈愛」であったとの説明に、「何だ！私と同じじゃないか。」と思った次第。

1600過ぎ刈羽村の宿に着く。地図を見ると、柏崎刈羽原発から直線で２ｋｍもないんだ！　走行距離：８８ｋｍ、通過トンネル：０

It was cloudy this morning. I departed at 750am. Temp:22C.

After I moved for 1.5hours, I found several big buildings of “Komeri (famous DIY center). “This is the headquarter of Komeri?” I questioned myself and checked smart phone. Yes! This is the headquarter! Mr. Komeri, you are here!!

In Niigata prefecture, I eagerly wanted to visit Tsubame-city, where was famous for craftsmanship metal industry. If possible, I also wanted to see a factory itself. However, in order to make a visit of factory, 3days advanced notice was necessary and I didn’t have a time to arrange it.

Anyway, there are some exhibition places of craftsmanship products. At least, I can see the products which were made in this area. There are 2 places, "Wing" and "Local Craftmanship Center". I spent almost 2 hours here. 

Between Tsubame-city and Sanjo-city, there is the bullet train station, namely Tsubame-Sanjo Sta. And there is the inter-change of highway near to this station, namely Sanjo-Tsubame IC. It is not unified. Behind these different naming, there are hidden stories between 2 cities.

On the ay to today's destination, I found the signboard “Museum of Ryo-kan (a monk around 200years ago). I visited and he director of museum himself made a museum tour about 30mins. Thanks to this, I understood very well.
