Day 17(31/May/2019) 曇りのち小雨 八戸

朝4時半に目が覚めて、昨日の自転車押しトレーニングでかなり疲れている感じ。また、破裂してしまったスペアチューブを確保する必要があり連泊することにした。1000からサイクルプロショップテルイへ。気温18度。さすが「プロショップ」、チューブはあった。後ろの荷台のネジも外れていたので付けてもらい、ブレーキディスクのパッドも交換してもらった。いろいろアドバイスももらい、自転車旅行者にとって、こんな専門家は本当に頼りになる。

さて、これから八戸のどこに行こう？　蕪島（かぶじま）という島のが名所らしいので行って見る。そこには神社があり東北大震災後の再建途中で立ち入り禁止。しかし、そこはウミネコの大繁殖地だった。毎年３万羽くらい来るらしい。しかも国指定の天然記念物。そこで問題です。「ウミネコ」と「カモメ」の違いは？「ウミネコ」は2月末頃やって来て5月―6月に繁殖して8月頃日本を去っていく。カモメは基本的に冬鳥。つまり、春から夏にかけて見たら「ウミネコ」、冬に見たら「カモメ」という事らしい。次の生物のテストで出ますよ！　

この蕪島の姿から「ここは日本のモン・サン・ミシェルだ」と私は発見してしまいました。フランス行くより、八戸の方が安いよ！

15時過ぎから雷も鳴りだし、雨も降ってきた。とどまったのはいい判断だった！！　今日の走行距離２０ｋｍ。通過トンネル１。

今日から友人のアイデアでルートラボというアプリを使い、どのように移動したかがわかるようにしてみました。今日は八戸市内だけです。これを見てどのように私が動いたかわかります。

Stayed in Hachinohe city

Since I was very much exhausted yesterday and needed to find the spare tube, I decided to stay in Hachinohe city today. I went out to pro-cycle shop at 1000am. Temp:18C. The master of pro-shop could find the tube which I had been looking for. Moreover, according to his suggestion, the pad of break-disc was also replaced.  

After I finished the repair, I went to Kabushima-island. Though this island is small, it is the breeding ground of sea cat(black-tailed gull) protected by the government. A lot of sea cat are there. Fortunately, May/June is the season of breeding. I can see a lot of chicks after 2-3weeks. I named this small island as “Le Mont-Saint-Michel in Japan”!.
