Day43(26/June/2019) 旭川―当別

朝から旭川駅の写真撮ったり、洗濯したりしていたら出発が９１５amになってしまった。気温２３度。北海道で出発時２０度を超えたのは初。

1時間ほど走ると神居古潭（カムイコタン）という場所があった。石狩川の急流がよどむ場所で奇岩があり、アイヌの人たちはここに神がいると信じていたとあった。

今日の道は比較的平坦だったが、出発から到着までずーーと南風が吹いていた。ずーーと南下している私にとっては、ずーーと向かい風。暑さからなのか、向かい風だからか、今日は出だしからしんどかった。残り３０Kmの所で「まだ３０Kmあるの！？」とうんざりしてしまった。久しぶりにきつかったが、石狩川の流れは、すばらしく美しかった。

Since I went to Asahikawa Sta. to take photos and washed my laundry in the morning, my departure was delayed at 915am. Temp:23C. In Hokkaido, it was the first time that the temperature at the departure time was higher than 20C. On the way, I passed the place of “Kamui(God) Kotan”, where the former inhabitant in Hokkaido(Ainu) believed that there was a God in Ishikari river.

Today’s road was generally flat. However, from the departure to the arrival I had faced the head wind from south. Due to this head wind or the heat, I exhausted from the beginning today. I was fed up with riding when I found that the remining distance was 30km. The scenery of Ishikari river was beautiful.
