Day59(12/July/2019) 富山

一昨日の天気予報で今日は雨だったので富山に連泊するよう手配した。しかし昨日の昼から降り始めた雨は今朝にはあがり、朝から晴れたり曇ったり。しかたがない。朝9時から富山散策。気温26度。

まず近くの市庁舎の展望台に。残念ながら立山連峰は雲の中だったが、街の四方を見渡せた。富山駅は、新幹線、従来線、市内電車がすべて繋がっていて便利そう。

ここには明治時代、工場のために造られた３ｋｍ程の運河があり、そこが整備されてきれいな公園になっている。

川ともつながっていて、パナマ運河方式の水位の調節で、観光船が川と運河を行きき来できるようになっている。またこの公園には一頃話題になった世界一きれいなスタバの店があった。

富山港の近くの岩瀬町には、秋田県の酒田と同じように北前船で栄えた商人たちの屋敷が残っていて昔の栄光を垣間見れる。森家が国の重要文化財に指定されており、大変おもむきがある。

天井の梁や畳の敷き方にもお金をかけているんだなーというのがわかる。

According to the weather forecast the day before yesterday, it would rain today. That is why I decided to stay one more day in Toyama. However, today it is not raining. I went around Toyama city where I visited first time.

The scenery from the observatory of city hall was nice. If the weather was fine in the wintertime, I could see Tateyama mountains with snow. It should be very beautiful. Toyama station is the terminal for many railways including city tram. It looks very convenient.

There is “Fugan Canal park” in Toyama city. In order to increase the efficiency for the factory, around 3km canal was made more than 100years ago. This canal is connected with the river and the sightseeing boat can move between them by the same way(water height adjustment) of Panama canal. There is the most beautiful Starbucks Coffee shop in this park.

Near to the Toyama port, there is Iwase town. There were many merchants in this town who were making trade between Hokkaido and Osaka. And they became very rich. Mori family is the one of merchants and the residence is opened to public.
