Day67(20/July/2019) 京丹後―豊岡―新温泉町 (Kyotango-Toyooka-Shinonnsen）

昨日は、ずーーと曇りだったのに、今朝起きたら雨。出発するころには止むだろうと期待していたが止む気配がない。悲しいけど出発。8時半。小雨。気温25度。15分こいだら外も内もグチャグチャ。まーいいや、今日は途中で洗濯の予定だから。。。と走っていたら、久々に見る「カニの爪」。本体の「カニ」も屋根の上に精巧に作られている。これは芸術的だった。
その前にルートの説明。山陰に行くんだから、当然京丹後から「城崎にて」を経由して海沿いを行くつもりでいました。しかし、新しいスマホに移った自転車ナビ様は「山に突入しろ」との指示。“違うだろ～！”とクレームしたが、頑固に「山に突入」の指示。“わかった、わかった。山に行けばいいんだろ～！”ということでこのルートになりました。ルートラボを見てください。
豊岡でコインランドリーに入り洗濯。さっきまで着ていた衣類もトイレで着替えて洗濯。しかし、ランドリーに入っている時、雨は止み出発すると小雨。私は何も悪い事していないのに。。。
やっとの思いで登って来て神鍋（かんなべ）という別荘が立ち並ぶ高原に到着。そして蘓武（そぶ）トンネルという長いトンネル登場。3692ｍ。これはDay24の「黄金トンネル」4941ｍに次ぐ長さです。深呼吸して突入。
しかし、有難いことに歩道が一車線並みに広い。これは嬉しい。雨は降らず、風も吹かず、気温も涼しい。“こんなトンネルなら一日いてもいいなー！”と思った次第。
それからまた山越えがあったけど（これも辛かったけど）、とにかく「新温泉町湯」という所に着いた。”湯”は地名です。酒を飲みながら、このブログを書いていたら「東京音頭」のメロディー。宿の2階から見下ろすと、「チンドン屋」だ！ その後に子供たちが「天狗の作り物」を引いている。今日はこのあたりの「天狗祭り」だそうだ。
しかし、鄙びた温泉宿の二階からチンドン屋と子供の作り物の引き回しを見ている私は、「昭和のトラさん」の場面にいるんじゃないかと錯覚してしまった。そうなると、次は「マドンナ」登場。多分、これから宿の娘さん（年のころなら28歳）が「お客さん、折角だから祭りを見に行きませんか？」という展開になるはずだ。

Yesterday it didn’t rain but cloudy. When I woke up this morning, it was raining. Since the forecast was cloudy in this area, I had expected that it would stop when I started. However, the rain continued. 830 departure. Temp:25C. It was very humid today too. After 30mins ride, I found the “Crab Claw” in front of the shop. The crab itself looked like a real one. It was made artistically.
To go to west, I was planning to move along the coast of Japan Sea at the beginning. However, my bicycle navigation strongly suggested to go into the mountains. I obeyed this instruction.
I climbed the long slope and reached “Kannabe Hill”, where there were many summer houses. After this hill, I passed the long tunnel “Sobu” which had 3692m length. This was 2nd longest tunnel which I passed during this journey. No.1 was “Gold Tunnel(4941m)” on Day24. Very fortunately, this tunnel had a very wide sidewalk. If sidewalk was available, the tunnel became a heaven which didn’t have rain and wind. Moreover, the temperature was much lower. I could be there all day long.
After this tunnel, I climbed another hill and finlly arrived “Shin Onsenmachi”. There was a summer festival(Tengu festival) of this town today. When I was writing this blog with drinking, I heard the traditional Japanese music from the street in front of the Inn. There were music performance and children were pulling the statue of “Tengu”.
“Tengu” is an imaginary goblin who lives in mountains and has a superpower.
