Day57(10/July/2019) 刈羽―糸魚川

７２５発。晴れ。気温23度。

1時間弱行くと、鯨波（くじらなみ）という地名の交差点に鯨をの形をした地下道の入り口があった（片方の入り口だけ）。昨晩グーグルマップで糸魚川に行く途中の地図上で「観光地」はないかなと探していたら、ここが紹介されていたが、これは観光地ではないだろう！

しばらく行くと日本海の絶景。これは観光地だ。下に見えるのはJR青海川駅。

朝日に輝く日本海　/ Panoramic view of Japan Sea

糸魚川に残り３０数キロというところから、海に沿って自転車道があった。自転車道だからアップダウンもそれほどきつくない。自転車専用のトンネルは車は通らないから全然怖くないし、風もなく涼しい。そして国道を下に見ながら進むので気分が良い。大変快適。私の数少ない経験から言わせてもらえば、この自転車道は快適さの観点から日本一だ！（今の所。。）

久比岐（くびき）自転車道　/ Kubiki Cycling Road

酒田と言えば本間家でしたが、糸魚川と言えば何でしょう？　16年12月に起きたラーメン店火元の大火災？　いいえ! 糸魚川といえばフォッサマグナ/糸魚川―静岡構造線です。ということで、フォッサマグナミュージアムに行ってきた。というのは簡単だけど、自転車で丘の上にあるミュージアムに行くのは大変だった。

フォッサマグナミュージアム　/ Fossa Magna Museum

2015年にリニューアルされて、展示の仕方やビデオの映像が大変立派だった。

フォッサマグナの形成過程でできたのだけれど、糸魚川付近からヒスイが大量に算出する。ミュージアムには沢山のヒスイが展示してあり、こちらがメインといったおもむき。2016年9月に日本の「国石」がヒスイに決まったって知っていました？

いろいろな鉱物も沢山展示してあり、三度のメシより石が好きという人にとっては聖地になりえる場所だ！

ということで糸魚川に到着。

走行距離：９８ｋｍ、通過トンネル：１３個

（P.S.）明日はサイクリストにとっての地獄の一丁目、親不知子不知（おやしらず　こしらず）の難所です。生きて帰れるかどうか、こうご期待！

ルートラボ（Route Lab） Kariwa-Itoigawa

725 departure. Temp:23C. It is fine and will be hotter.

Within an hour, I reached the place of Kujira Nami (Whale Wave) and found the entrance of underground pedestrian road. Its shape is Whale. According to Google map, this is a place of sightseeing. I didn’t think so.

After 15min, I could see the fantastic panoramic view of Japan Sea. Yes, this is a place of sightseeing.

For last 30km, there was a bicycle road to the destination, Itoigawa. This road was well organized, and I could enjoy passing many tunnels without fears since there was no car.

In Itoigawa, I visited the museum of Fossa Magna. There is a huge and long crevice between Itoigawa(north) and Shizuoka(south) in Japan Honshu island. It is Fossa Magna. There was a nice presentation by big screens about Fossa Magna started from the birth of earth.

Moreover, a lot of jade rocks were discovered in this area. Making jade is also related to the formation of Fossa Magna. This museum is the paradise for rock/mineral lovers.

Finally I arrived Itoigawa Sta. Today’s mileage:98km, tunnels passed:13  

(P.S.)Tomorrow I should pass the narrow/dengerous tunnels at cliff (Oyashirazu Koshirazu) . I can pass safely or not!!!
