Day62(15/July/2019) 福井―鯖江―敦賀 (Fukui-Sabae-Tsuruga）

今日もどんよりとした曇り。９００発。気温２５度。それほど暑いとは感じない。まず向かった先は鯖江。鯖江といえばメガネのフレーム作りで有名。国内の９０％のフレームはここで作られているとの事。始まりは、雪で仕事がなくなる農民のために豪農の一人が始めたとの事。偉い！そこに「メガネミュージアム」があるというので行くことにした。町の入り口にはSABAEのマーク。アルファベットで書かれると、なんかカッコイイ。
さてミュージアムに到着。 10時開館で、丁度5分前に到着。なんと開館を待っている人たちがいるではないか！これは良寛の里（Day56参照）より期待できるか？そもそも、メガネだけでどうやってミュージアムも成り立たせるんだろう？
展示されていたのは、江戸時代のメガネとか、昔のメガネフレームを作った道具とか、有名人のメガネとか、んんー微妙。見せるものに事欠いて（失礼）、鯖江とは関係ない「顕微鏡」の展示の説明もあった。
他にはカフェと、自分のメガネを作ろうコーナーと、メガネ屋さん。このメガネ屋に沢山の人達が来ていた。
あまり時間もつぶせなくて、雨も降りそうだったけど出発。しばらく行くと、先日のアヤソフィア（Day51）にも似た建物が現れた。形容が難しい。まあ「越前市にあるサッカラのピラミッド」と名付けました。
後で調べたら、SMAP、嵐、サザンなど超メジャーなミュージシャンによるコンサートが度々行われており、知っている人にとっては聖地なんだろうな。。。失礼しました。
とうとう小雨が降り出し、敦賀へ向かう峠道では、雨と汗で内も外もぐちゃぐちゃになった。トンネルを越えると、敦賀は雨が降っていなかった。港では休日という事で護衛艦「加賀」の見学会が行われており、いそいそと参加。残念ながら1300までの内部見学会には参加できず。しかし、外から見ても大迫力。自衛隊の皆様いつもいつもありがとうございます。心から感謝しています。
敦賀駅到着。2022年の新幹線延伸に向けての工事が盛んに行われている。

900am departure. Every day cloudy! Temp:25C. Firstly, I visited Sabae-city on the way to today’s destination. Sabae is famous as the production center of glasses-frame. 90% of its production in Japan are from this city.
There is “Glasses Museum”. I wanted to see how they could organize the museum. There were 4 sections in this museum, such as Museum, Café, DIY for your glasses and Shop. It must be difficult to entertain the visitors only by glasses. They showed old glasses of Edo period, old machines for making frame and glasses owned by famous people in Japan. Visitors were not in the museum but in the shop.
After this museum, I encountered the unique building again,” Sun-Dome Fukui.” I named it “Saqqara Pyramid in Fukui”. After I checked by WEB, many famous Japanese artists made their concerts here. It should be very famous for music lovers! Sorry!
I arrived Tsuruga port. Since today was the national holiday in Japan, there was a special event at the port. Japanese Self Defense Force’s Escort Vessel (Kaga) was opened to public. Since it was late, I couldn’t enter the vessel. However, it was a good experience for me to see this kind of gigantic vessel nearby. They are always protecting Japan. Thank you!
Finally, I arrived Tsuruga station. A lot of construction machinery were there to prepare the opening the Shinkansen extension in 2022.
