Day89(18/August/2019) 諫早―佐世保(Isahaya-Sasebo)

再出発の昨日はちょっと疲れ気味だったが朝になり回復。
710出発。曇り。気温27度。今日はずーと曇りだったので気温上がらず助かった。１０時ごろ、道路わきに「無窮洞（むきゅうどう）」の標識。すぐ近くにあるようなので、洞窟でちょっと涼しい風でも浴びたいと思い行って見る。しかし、それは洞窟ではなく巨大な防空壕だった。それも小中学生が自分たちだけで掘った巨大な防空壕。
アメリカ軍の戦闘機が度々来るようになった昭和18年8月に、すぐ近くの学校の校長先生の号令で2年間かけて子供たちの手だけで掘り上げた防空壕。説明してくれたオジイサン（86歳）も、小学校6年のころ、実際に掘っていたとの事。
戦後74年経ちますが、今回の旅では色々な所で戦争の話とぶつかります。
と感慨にふけりながら１５分も走っていたら、突然あの「ハウステンボス」の巨大なホテルが目に飛び込んできた。
ここはHISに買収されて復活をとげましたが、最近は苦戦しているらしい。中国資本が参加するという話もあったが、それはなくなったらしい。ここも中国人が大勢訪れていた。

ハウステンボスは佐世保市にありますが、さて佐世保市といったら何でしょう？ 酒田といえば本間家、萩といえば夏みかんでしたが、佐世保といえば、そう、あの「ジャパネットたかた」です。
80年代末から90年代初期にかけて「ビデオカメラをガンガン売りまくっている佐世保のカメラ屋がある」という噂は私も聞いていました。それが「ジャパネットたかた」の前身。ここで本社に会えて感激です。「ジャパネットたかた」を他のTV通販と同類と思っては大きーーな間違いです。あのプレゼン力、使う人の立場に立った詳細説明、魅力的な価格。最近は生放送でプレゼンしているのも驚きです。私は何度も利用させていただいています。
佐世保駅、佐世保港に到着。ここには海上自衛隊基地があるので、多用途支援艦[「あまくさ」が係留されていました。
やはり佐世保の雰囲気はDay63舞鶴とよく似ています。しかし、ここのアーケード街にはまだまだ人々が沢山いて、頑張っているなと感じました。ガンバレ佐世保！
「佐世保バーガー」を試してみようと思いましたが、混んでいてやめました。写真では混んでいないようですが、とても混んでました。
私は並んだり待ったりするのが一番の苦手です。という事で佐世保泊。

710am departure. It was cloudy. Temp:27C. Thanks to the cloudy weather today, it was not so hot today. Probably, the temperature didn’t exceed 30C. After 3hours drive, I found the signboard of “Mukyu Cave”. I went there since I wanted to be brown by the cooler wind. However, it was not a cave but a large bombproof shelter made by pupils/students of school during WW2. In the end of WW2, US battle planes were bombing in the mainland of Japan indiscriminately. From Aug/1943 to Aug/1945, it had been dug by them to accommodate 600students. The old guide who explained the details to me today also participated in this work. During my journey, I could see a lot of memories of WW2 after 74years of the ceasefire.
After 15mins drive, I found the big building of “Huis Ten Bosch (House in Forest in Dutch)”. This is the amusement park with several hotels. Today many Chinese people were there. I hope many Japanese people outside of Kyushu also visit here.
In Sasebo city, there is another famous one, which is the company of “Japanet Takata”. This company is one of biggest TV tel-shopping. Their power of presentation, detailed explanations of customer’s merits and appealing prices can catch the huge demands of customers. I am one of their good customers.I was happy to see their main building of HQ.
I arrived Sasebo station and Sasebo port. In Sasebo, there is the base of Japan Maritime Self Defense Force. There was the military vessel engaged in supporting mission.
In Sasebo, “Sasebo Hamburger” is also famous. I tried it for lunch. But since many people were waiting, I gave up immediately.
